Description UV LED Spot Cure

About

Note: This equipment is part of the Manual Assembly Station.

The UJ35 is an UV curing device that quickly hardens UV resins (inks, adhesives, and coatings) via irradiation with UV light from an LED light source. The focused application of UV radiation to UV resins coated on minute surfaces (2 to 3 mm dia.). It uses a single 365-nm LED UV light source that does not emit any infrared radiation, eliminating the risk of heat damaging the workpiece. Also, unlike a lamp, it does not generate ozone, eliminating the need for an exhaust duct.

Always wear UV protective goggles specifically rated for the output wavelength (365nm) to avoid severe inflammation or permanent injury.

Application

Appliable to wide Varity of material that are formulated to set while exposed to 365nm UV light. Note

  • Optical path epoxies during fiber to PIC attach.
  • Tacking free space components (e.g., lenses) in optimized position in an optical train.
  • Glob top and encapsulation.
  • Acrylic material curing.

System Overview

The system consists of a compact controller that manages up to four independent LED heads. Key components include:

  • Controller: Features a universal design with a high-visibility color LED display and front-panel operation switches.
  • LED Heads: Compact 12 mm diameter heads in 365 nm wavelength.
  • High-Power Irradiation: Delivers intensities up to 10,000 mW/cm² enabling shorter cure cycles.
  • Programmable Operation: The UJ35 model supports up to seven different 10-step irradiation programs per channel, allowing for complex curing profiles.
